The first week of the Easter Holidays in Enfield saw the church transformed into an MI5 Headquarters, as the children of Oakwood became Spies, Detectives and Sleuths.
On a mission to find out more about Jesus, together we sang songs, heard stories, played games, made crafts and acted out the message. An astounding success and a great time was had by the almost 200 children who attended over the four days.

Comments from parents
I was very impressed at the set up and organisation when dropping them off and all the activities that they bought home.
They thoroughly enjoyed themselves and I could tell they felt comfortable with their surroundings and their team leaders.

On the 20th of Feb about 40 Over 60s enjoyed a holiday in our Church Hall. Our over 60s did some keepfit with Dee Churchill, some decorated photo frames with Sandra Channon, or played snooker or table tennis. Before lunch we had a slide presentation about the missionaries to Burma, Adoniram and Nancy Judson. After a delicious lunch, Michael Nicholson told us some of what he had learned from his time studying law. Marjory Clark and Rene Alger led some games of bingo, and then we enjoyed the classic film of Southgate in 1950. What a great day! |

Dearly beloved in the Lord,
Activities past
Thank you to all who helped distribute Round the Houses (you can read it on the church website if you didn’t get one). Over thirty people came to the Men’s Dinner at a restaurant in Winchmore Hill, where Philip Sudell spoke on 2 Peter 1 verse 8, looking for our growth in Christ. The men were outdone by the women, when Anne Atkins spoke to more than fifty women, while they made gingerbread houses.
