Children's concert goes like a dream!

On Sunday 11th July the children of St Thomas's produced a delightful varied afternoon's music. The first half of the concert consisted of solo items from the children with a variety of instrumental pieces.

After a brief interval for drinks and refreshments, the second half continued with 'Dreamin' Daniel and the Revealer of Mysteries' - a musical 'pop cantata' written by Margaret Hobbs, James Murray and Carmen Alger. 

The children ably sang the new work, demonstrating their grasp of a wide ranging of genres from jazz and rock to rap.

At choir practice afterwards the children voted for their favourite numbers, and there was a huge variance, so it seems there was something for everyone!  You can listen to one of them here: The Fiery Furnace.
