We held a very happy Holiday Club in the first week of the school holidays. Over 150 children attended every day, out of a total of 200 different children. This required a great deal of preparation and organisation, and the support of a large team from the church. Our theme was the gospel story foretold in the Book of Exodus.
On Good Friday over 300 people filled the church for a devotional performance of Handel's Messiah. Our choir was augmented to a group of 50 singers, with soloists Margaret Hobbs, Angharad Lyddon, Carl de Figueriedo and Steve Watts. There were twelve in the orchestra (including church members Harriet Mitchell, Joanna Bellis, Matthew Hobbs, Donald Hobbs, Giorgio Sterlini and Carmen Ross), conducted by our Director of Music James Murray.
Nearly £1000 was given towards our Spire Appeal.
