Have you noticed that the cross has gone from the top of our spire? And have you ever wondered what the birds eye view is from up there? Perhaps you did notice that the cross had looked a bit wonky: we got a steeplejack to go up and investigate, and before we knew it, he had diagnosed rotten timbers in the spire, and sawed off the cross to avoid it damaging anyone. We will have to see what  it will cost to get it sorted , and return our local landmark to its former glory!
