Sunday Services

Sunday 12th September saw the annual parents against children cricket match in Oakwood Park. After a hasty lunch players and supporters gathered behind the cafe for the limited overs match. The children batted first and set a reasonable score in the mid eighties during their allotted overs.
After a break for tea, with ample sandwiches, crisps and cakes it was the turn of the parents. Led out by Christopher and Kaushal (the new Assistant Minister), they got off to a shakey start losing some early wickets. The innings steadied later on, after a couple of dog invasions, but the damage had already been done, and the children won by a margin of over 30 runs. A great afternoons entertainment, and a great chance to get to know eachother just that little bit more!
A special thanks once again to Johnny and Janet for the effort they put into the cricket club each week.
