Young people (11-14s; 14-18s)

Pathfinders is our group for young people in school years 7-9. We meet twice a week:

  • On Sunday mornings Pathfinders stay with us for the family-friendly start of the 10.30am service, and then head out to their own group in the church flat for Bible teaching involving discussion, food and games.
  • On Friday evenings we meet from 7.15-8.45pm in the church hall for a mix of…
    • ‘un-organised fun’ (Guitar Hero, Mario Kart, table tennis, pool, table football, volleyball, tuck shop)…
    • ‘organised fun’ (giant Angry Birds, wide games, cookery challenges, murder mystery, nerf wars, crazy golf, ice games, giant banana split and so on)…
    • a short talk on a question that really matters: for example - How can I be satisfied in life? - What is the world there for? - What makes me human? - Is being good, good enough? - Why is the world in such a mess?

TNG - 'The Next Generation' - is for older teenagers in school years 10-13. We meet on Sunday evenings from 7:30-9:10pm, in the home of local church members just a short walk from the church. About a dozen of us hang out together each week, play a game or two, and have a look at the Bible so we can help each other love Jesus more - and a full cooked dinner is provided!

TNG stay in the service on Sunday mornings, but usually head out just after the service for a quick chat about the sermon they’ve heard.

For more information on either group please contact Helen Price via the church office.

We are committed to the protection of children, young people and vulnerable adults entrusted to our care. All our group leaders have cleared DBS checks and are trained to take good care of your children.
