Bible study groups

Home Groups

A number of Bible study groups meet around the parish. Most meet fortnightly on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings; there is also a fortnightly meeting on a Tuesday morning. For further information, or if you would like to join a group, do contact Rich, the vicar, via the church office.

Real Food

Real Food is a group for those in their 20s-30s. It meets once a month on Thursday evenings from 8:00-9:30pm at the church flat (79a Prince George Avenue) and is a chance for members to learn from the Bible and pray for one another. For more information contact Mark Jackson via the church office.

Women's groups

  • Weekly women's Bible study groups meet on Friday mornings in the Guide Hut, 9.15-10.15 for 60s+, and from 10am for the other groups. Their studies run from 10.30-11.30 with a staffed creche provided for pre-school children.
  • A ladies' Bible study group meets fortnightly on Wednesdays at 8.30pm.
  • Enquirers' groups also meet when convenient for the enquirers!

For senior members

Thursday Fellowship meets on the last Thursday of every month in the Guide Hut, from 2.15 for a 2.30 start, finished by 3.30pm. The group is for men and women of all ages; there is usually an opportunity to sing a hymn or two, to share prayer requests, and to hear a stimulating talk. Recent examples have included hearing about the life and faith of Dietrich Bonhoeffer and Charles Simeon, and about the churches, lives and experiences of our international volunteers in their home countries.
